Standards;
After viewing the Florida Standards, I chose one standard within the Computer Science section. Standard 3 SC.3.CC.2.2: Be able to use and describe modern communication media and devices responsibly. From the use of media safely, without disclosing personal information openly online. About the students' self and the family and friends connected. This is an essential skill I already have and will be easy to teach. Since I am used to using online platforms. I would adjust and plan out good ways to test them and for them to learn from different experiences using online media platforms that will be asking for their information. This way, I can show them how to avoid and disclose it.
Toolkits;When searching the internet, I know the small snippets of information provided when asking Google questions. Identify keywords and give a short answer at the top of the page. This can be helpful when it gets you the quick correct answer. Although many times, it can provide incorrect answers. To avoid the wrong snippets when searching online and obtain accurate search results, use advanced search features on Google. You can exclude words, select specific file types that you want in the search results, and look for new stories and pages published in different languages or countries. These skills are so helpful in finding more accurate answers for questions or certain things that easily become messed up with other similar topics or words when searching online. I will take advantage of the advanced searching I am looking forward to since I have been using snippets before. The advanced search will guide me quicker toward what I want to view and read rather than skimming through different snippets.
I believe it could be useful in the classroom as it can help create class content that assists teachers in designing images or creating examples of creative writing to provide and show the class. It is a useful tool to help ease content creation for class, although it can lack authenticity when it is not created by the teacher, in my opinion.
